How to became a student

STEP 1
Obtaining an Invitation letter
All international applicants who want to apply for study must obtain an “Invitation for study”. Foreigners who want to come to Ukraine with intention to study must obtain a student visa, which is only possible upon receiving an “Invitation for study” from the university they are applying to.

Submission documents to the Selection Committee of the : International Education Institute for Study and Research Provide the necessary documents personally

Passing the entrance examinations
The admission of foreigners to study for Bachelor';s degree programs (Master';s degree in Medicine) is carried out on the basis of a document on the previously obtained level of education based on the results of three entrance exams

STEP 4
Concluding the contracts
The foreign applicant, after the Selection Committee has made a decision on recommendation for admission must conclude a study contract between the University and the applicant.

Registration for residence in Ukraine
All foreign students who stay in Ukraine during the period of study must obtain a temporary residence permit.
STEP 6
Recognition of educational documents Passing
Educational documents of foreigners enrolled in studies, issued by educational institutions of other states, undergo the procedure of recognition in Ukraine in accordance with the legislation

In order to receive a visa for study, you must visit the nearest Embassy of Ukraine in your own country or a country which has an Embassy of Ukraine and apply for an entry visa (D-type) by attaching an invitation for study from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Karazin University offers different Master's degree programs with duration of study 1 year 4 months (90 ECTS credits) and 1 year 9 months (120 EKTS credits).

To organize remote requirements of foreign citizens, the University enters into an agreement with a partner organization that is resident of the country of origin of applicant. Therefore, for applying for study online, the foreign applicant takes the entrance exams through the online platform in the premises of the partner organization.

Karazin University conduct a competitive selection process for admission of foreigners to study, which depends on the results of entrance exams in Contest Subjects and the Language of Study.

For the period of the legal regime of Martial Law in Ukraine and in accordance with the orders of University “About organization of the educational process“ in the 2023/2024 academic year educational process is held in distance format (online).

Yes, the degree is worldwide recognized. V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is the state higher educational institution of the IV-th accreditation level.

To be valid in Ukraine (for employment or continuing education purposes), a foreign educational document you need to do recognition procedure. This means establishing the compliance of the academic and professional rights, as well as the educational and qualification levels indicated in foreign educational documents (qualifications) with the national education standards of Ukraine.
